NDT Inspection In-Service

We provide high-quality Non Destructive Testing and Inspection services to identify areas of corrosion and degradation preventing possible failure, across assets including pipelines, storage tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, condenser tubes, boiler tubes and process columns.

Our innovative and established techniques provide the client with evidence to support the asset life of the infrastructure being tested allowing for a more focused investment model.

Automated Crawler Inspection on Holding Tank
Plant Inspection
Pressure Vessel Inspection

TesTex NDT have a large fleet of inspection techniques and services allowing many differing types and sizes of asset to be inspected and tested. Materials of infrastructure is also something we can adapt to and we have existing techniques available, be it steels, iron or grp.

We can also scan for corrosion through lagged or insulated tanks and pipes, this saves huge expense to the client both on cost of removal and time.

Inadequate or Incorrect Inspections

This tank as an example was deemed by others to be fit for purpose when clearly it was not! TestexNDT provide a written scheme of examination (WSoE) in line with EEMUA 159 legislation so that the tank will be inspected correctly every time. We also provide a full report with any recommendations for repairs and remaining asset life. This is supported by our asset integrity management software so that risk based inspections can be controlled and monitored.

Water companies have many remote storage tanks and failure of these would have a very negative impact on your environment, financial and reputation.

Pipe Scanning Case Study

Corrosion detected in pipeline

Due to the heavily rusted surface of the piping as well as the existence of isolated pits, spot ultrasonic inspection would not be comprehensive enough; therefore the most practical method with which to conduct the inspection was to use the TesTex, Inc. developed 32-channel Linecat System. This system, designed for 360 degree pipe scanning, is based on the principles of the Low Frequency Electromagnetic Technique (LFET). The adjustable scanning system has the ability to quickly and accurately inspect multiple sizes of piping.
