Faten has obtained her BCs in Civil Engineering from the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG). she became a teaching assistant after graduation while also studying towards an MSc in Infrastructure Engineering. After completing her master studies with a thesis regarding Water distribution Systems, she promoted to become a lecturer in IUG University's s Civil Engineering Department. Currently, Faten is a PhD researcher at The University of Exeter and a part of the Water Centre group under the supervision of Prof. Raziyeh Farmani . Her PhD study is funded by Faculty for the Future Program Assistant, Schlumberger Foundation.
